Changing Climate Worsens Development Challenge in South Asia (Video)


South Asia has low greenhouse gas emissions, but climate change has already deeply affected the economic growth and development of the region.

The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) 4th Assessment Report states that about 70 per cent of South Asians live in rural area and account for about 75 per cent of the poor, who are the most impacted by climate change.

In the video above, Ranga Pallawalla, Sri Lankan programme manager at Practical Action talks about how the climate change is affecting South Asia.
